India is Diabetes capital of the world with over 30 million diabetic patients and over 50 million still remain to be diagnosed. Diabetic patients being at a high risk of complications it adds up to a huge population of patients who are at very high risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, gangrene, blindness and other serious complications.

Diabetes being a silent killer the patients usually do not feel any symptoms till the disease is advanced or the patients have already developed some complications. Early diagnosis and proper treatment at expert hands can prevent all these complications. Keeping this in mind, D Clinic (Diabetes Clinic) and D Clinarch (Diabetes Research Center) was established in Jaipur in 2009.

Moreover we have a spacious comfortable seating arrangement with AC, drinking water and LCD to make you feel at ease.

In association with Precision Path Lab, we have an inhouse diagnostic center headed by Dr Kirti Pandia (Consultant Pathologist). Currently we are doing all biochemistry, histopathology, microbiology, cytology (including FNAC) in addition to ECG. Imaging facilities (X Ray, USG etc.) are not available at present. Diabetes is not just high blood sugar. It is rather a multifactorial disease with over 50 different types as defined by American Association of Diabetes. There are number of genetic and environmental factors that predispose a patient to diabetes. Sugar control can be achieved by any of the available glucose lowering options in early stage but individualized therapy can be planned only after a thorough history and examination at expert hands. Choosing the wrong drug at initial stage, though one may get normal blood sugar levels initially but the disease soon progresses and patients land up requiring insulin injections sooner or later.

Type 2 Diabetes is the most common variant which is often associated with other conditions like Obesity, High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol levels. All these factors together increase the risk of chronic complications like heart attack, paralysis, gangrene, blindness, kidney failure, impotence and neuropathy. These complications can be prevented by regular monitoring and good control of all risk factors.
